Every custom order, tracked to pickup
You collect deposits and balances however you already do — Venmo, Zelle, Square, cash. DropRoom tracks who paid, what's arrived, what's still owed, and when it ships. No group chat, no spreadsheet.
No chat threads · No Excel reconciliation · One link to collect, chase & ship
A day in the life of a maker taking custom orders
Selling isn't the hard part — it's everything that comes after.
Deposits in, no record of who
You collect deposits over text, Venmo, cash at pickup. Two weeks later you're scrolling to figure out who actually paid — and who you just assumed did.
Chasing a balance nobody pays
The deposit's in, the order shipped, but the balance sits there. How many times did you remind them? You've lost count — and so have they.
"I'll grab it next week" — then nothing
They confirm pickup, then disappear. Your inventory's tied up and your patience is running out.
Six things that get it out of your head
A status board for every single order
Every product, every buyer, eight clear states at a glance. Arrived, notified, paid, shipped — drag to update, nothing kept in your head.
Batch arrived? Notify everyone in one tap
Tick the buyers in this batch and send arrival alerts in one tap. See who's been notified and who hasn't — no more one-by-one DMs.
Who's paid, who still owes — tracked automatically
Every order shows the deposit collected, the balance due, and the reminder history — so you're never guessing who owes what.
Buyers order themselves, straight to your board
Get a shareable shop page — buyers scan, join the drop and place orders themselves. Everything lands straight in your board.
Bring your team in
Invite staff to co-manage the back office—they can add products, open drops, chase payments, mark paid, and ship. Permanent deletes, billing, and team management stay owner-only.
Let only your people in
Switch your shop to invite-only — only buyers on your guest list can see it and order. Need someone in? Just add their email.
Pricing, as simple as it should be
Running drops is free, forever. Buyer money never passes through us — you always collect it yourself. Paid add-ons are pay-as-you-go — only when you use them.

Why DropRoom exists
DropRoom started with a very specific headache. A friend of mine runs preorders for a small kidswear line — every drop meant flooding a group chat with sign-ups, reconciling orders in a spreadsheet, chasing deposits and balances one message at a time, then notifying everyone again when things arrived. The more drops she ran, the longer the spreadsheet got — and who had paid, what had arrived, what was ready to ship all lived in her head.
She asked me: isn't there a tool built for this? I looked around — there really wasn't. E-commerce platforms are too heavy; sign-up tools stop before payment and fulfillment. So I built DropRoom: the whole line — open a drop, take orders, track arrivals, notify, collect, ship — in one system, so makers can stop staying up late reconciling spreadsheets.
Building it, I set three lines I won't cross:
Buyers pay you directly, through your own account. The platform never collects, holds, or takes a cut. What you charge is what you keep.
Unlimited products, unlimited drops, every core feature — no cost, no card. Advanced extras (like snap-to-import lookbooks) will be pay-as-you-go someday, entirely up to you — but running drops stays free, always.
Every feature in DropRoom comes from a real headache a real maker hit — no bloat, just the things that trip you up every day.
If you take preorders or custom orders too, come give it a try. And if you have ideas, we're always reachable on the contact page.
